Still flammable according to the MSDS sheets....I've used it within the last 6 months as a starting fluid.

It won't start a 2 cycle like they used to

I haven't seen the one on the rear of the head fail yet, but definitely seen the Davco valves full of junk. I had one a few weeks ago so bad that I couldn't believe it even ran. The only complaint was hard to start after sitting. Cleaned it out and the problem was gone.

Would a cruded up check valve on the Davco rob fuel mileage too? -
If it is clogged anywhere near like the one I repaired yesterday it sure could. Not sure how the fuel was even flowing it had so much junk in it.

I second this one as well. I have seen several trucks that folks thought were losing fuel prime and it was a bad SRS sensor.
I have seen lots of back of the head check valves go bad though. It does not take much to allow leak back on these and I have never been able to get one cleaned out good enough to reuse. Once they stop seating right it is game over. So replace it.
Beethoven Thanks this. -
I have a 12.7 detroit 470hp and I had this problem before. I had to replace my srs and trs sensors and it solved the problem.
Beethoven Thanks this. -
Ralph, He took it off and blew in it. No air came through that i could hear But don't know if that is the proper way to check it.
