Do you have to unload your trailer every time you back in a dock? I'm looking for something where I'm home more but would still like to not unload the trailer

thats how ltl works..drive all over, back into dock, either move pallet to the rear of trailer with a pallet jack or if lucky a forklift will get it for you.

Even worse if you have residential deliveries.

If you are interested in running linehaul at night, Toledo has an opening.

Ragman I have been on site and can't figure out why they have a listing for all their states except Va. Even when not hiring you can click on a state and it will tell you no position available but you can't due that for Va. do you have any idea why or do you have to put app in with Pittsburgh?

I just tried it and it worked. They need a city t/t driver in Roanoke and a dockworker in Richmond. You can only apply via the website and only for a posted position.

Thanks Ragman I got on site and filled out application. I guess they had to have a position available before state would come up.

There is heat at my terminal but they won't turn it on. It's too costly with 30 foot ceilings. There's something about seeing them not in use that makes the dock feel even colder.

    Your welcome. Good luck.

Central Transport's terminal in Cleveland is heated, too bad they got rid of the dock doors because they are too cheap to replace them. The heat still works, I park in front of the vents when working on a certain pallet lol last night was brutal
