Truck driving school in Bloomington, IL

    Howdy ya'll Im wanting to get into truck and was going to attend the local community college for their truck driving school. Would this be a good idea to get me into the trucking world? Im looking for more local runs then over the road for now. Thanks for any advice.

    Out that way Champaign has the best school. Do they have one in Bloomington?

    If you are staying local initially you can get a job pulling hoopers with a fresh CDL.

    There's one at IVCC in Oglesby, IL also, about 45 min north up I-39 from the B/N area.

    Do a search for reviews on schools before enrolling, think you will learn a lot. Lake Land College, in Mattoon, Has an awesome program, you should check in with Bob over there.

    Heartland community college in normal has one but i dont know how good it is I will check into Parklands and ICC also! Are there many jobs out there in IL pulling hopper bottoms? Anybody know of any good trucking companies I can talk with before I start schooling to maybe see about get signed on with? Thanks in advanced.
