You will read a lot of bad about crst, but they are a starting place remember you have to be there a year if you can get past that year with no incidents then you shouldn't have a future problem finding work. Most co will make you take a refresher course if you have been out of school so long(each co different). Remember its a stressful job and youre gonna be running team so keep your cool. Good luck! let us know how it goes so we can follow you thru training.

no they dont run solo but even on a dedicated run comes in handy to have a second driver help unload freight if necessary lol. Ive been looking at them but they arent my first choice but we all have to start somewhere a lot of ppl enjoy the company so guess its point of view. be prepared to not make any money for the first 6 months to a year its a cost to break into the industry. Good Luck

the whole trick is to trucking jobs. you have to be willing to stay with one company for years. and that's no matter how bad they treat you. just keep in mind. that other company drivers will try to chase you off thinking that it will give them more work. best piece of advice i have. don't make it a habit to hang out in the drivers lounge of the terminals or with other company drivers. one company driver will start hating on the company. then more will join in on the hate. then you will get sucked in. and soon enough. you will be out of a job over another driver's anger and hate. pretty much if you listen to your boss that is paying you. instead of the other drivers that could care less about you. the better you will do in trucking. and i can say that after diving a truck for 10 1/2 years. the reason i got out of it. I was over due and ready for a career change. and i wanted more of a creative career.

very interesting read. i have a felony hearing coming up to. though mine was from being attacked by a co worker in front of a bunch of cameras. now i know to make sure i dont get ANY assault charges. not that i should get any for defending myself... oh well this is a great read.
hopefully i can get on the road and out of florida after the court date is set. thanks mate.

Once again, stay away from the mega-carriers and you will have much better success. Try checking Craigslist.
