Stopped at the Petro in Atlanta. Went in to grab a bite to eat, came back out to a strong smell of smoke in the cab. I just moved into this truck a week and a half ago and I am still trying to get the cigarette smoke out. Then I remembered the dynasys apu recall. Lifted up the bunk, and sure enough, it was smoky. I touched the apu unit under the bunk and it was very hot. I didn't turn the fan on when I went inside, just started up the unit. Once I turned the fan on, it startd to cool down. I just shut it off now just in case. According to the dynasys website, there should be a technical fix by Saturday. Looks like I will be idling overnight for a while.

Wow, that is crazy. Glad you caught it in time. Did anyone in the office ever send out a notice about it or was it just by word of mouth on here? Be really careful because until those wires are disconnected that could happen again.

I guess my truck doesn't want what is on it. Was driving down the road today and heard a thud on the side of the cab. Saw something flying behind me in the rear view. Didn't think much. Been hitting a lot of birds lately. Get to Amarillo and my right upper sleeper window is open. The fing handle fell of. So now I have a window I can't shut. T/A can fix it but it will take Freightliner 4 days to get the handle in. Guess ill just have a open window for awhile. Got a small bunge on it right now. So will have to wait and see if it holds it shut.

I haven't received anything from the office about it. I emailed Mark and let him know what happened. Hopefully hodyon has a fix on Saturday like their site claims.
