I did the team thing with elogs for a short while, and we never ran out of hours. First trip out, the terminal manager couldn't believe how fast we turned East coast to Spokane & back. Only stopped 1 hour to unload tanker, then for meals, fuel, shower; the rest of the time the truck was rolling deadhead back to East coast. 50% of those tanker miles are deadhead, paid same as loaded. Every trip like that.

Well I stopped working for CC back in September due to mistreatment and HORRIBLE pay. The last straw was being stuck on the west coast for 3 weeks, which means no paycheck and no advances on your pay check. After finally getting back to the east coast and mailing in all of our paper work so we could finally get a check, I got a phone call from dispatch saying we "forgot" to send in one paper. Which I knew wasnt true because we stapled them altogether to make sure that wouldn't happen. I had to fight and scream for 2 days and finally I told them i was quitting and would you know it, 5 minutes later they "found" the paper work and "apologized" for misplacing it. The reason behind the torture was that we were turned down at a shipper because the trailer smelled funny and it was our fault for not washing it out. When all we were told to do is give it a good sweeping. Then our reefer was out of fuel but they said that was impossible and denied us the chance of putting fuel in. So me and my team driver has to get fuel FROM THE TRUCK TANKS! and slowly put some into the reefer so we could finally get the load. On top of that they told me to get 50 gallon of fuel in Tennessee and not to refuel till we got to new mexico, and then cussed and yelled at the fact we couldn't make it there on 50 gallons. And what was my check after waiting nearly a month to get paid? 350! The taxes is a whole nothing joke. The average I'd have taken out of my check is 1 dollar for every 100 I made. How that place is in business I will never know. Oh and my team driver who had been there six years, still only making 10CPM and he had been driving over 30 years.

And running out of hours with the E-logs was never a problem, if you were getting close they would simply change all your hours from the home terminal so you would never have to stop. Also sitting at a shipper for 2 or 3 days sometimes without getting loaded and not making a cent is pretty awesome. I'll slowly think of some more things and add them as the day goes by. And all this in about 7 weeks of being with the company.

 

I am not a recruiter ,but my pay check at buel friday was 2100 bucks after expenses ,better than cc ever pay

Carolina cargo is now charging 25 dollars to get a 50 dollar advance ,sounds like loan sharking to me. they must be having money trouble cause a driver that just left there said he has been having to wait all day to get fuel because his fuel card wont work and when he calls they tell him its on then wont answer the phone . he said this has been happening just not to him but everybody,he now works somewhere eles
