What are you WS drivers doing about food storage and prep. i.e. is it too much to ask to have a mini-fridge , microwave set up w/ inverter in your rig?
Do you have APU's Don't really want to spend 200.00 a week on food.
Where do guys refuel at? do they micro-manage this to the point of your running out of gas?
Thanks

I use a Coleman 9v cooler to store my food, works pretty good at keeping everything cold.
To heat my food I use a small 9v portable oven to heat up burritos, bagels, hot dogs, soup etc..
A lot of drivers do have a microwave and fridge connected to their inverter. I only use my inverter to power up my Tv, Ps3 and cell phone..
Id say probably 30-40% of trucks have apu's.
We pretty much fuel wherever is cheaper (Loves, Pilot/FlyingJ, T/A, Sapp Bros, WilcoHess) they do send us fuel routing that we have to follow if we want to qualify for a bonus.
If you feel you cannot make your next fuel stop, just call the fuel guy and he will direct you to nearest truck stop. If you need to fuel at night or weekend, just fuel anywhere and send in a qualcomm message to the fuel guy telling him that you needed to fuel. -
What size inveter do you run? I like me some TV, what kind of set up do I need? i.e. small flat screen rabbit ears etc. Thanks.

I have an 1100 watt inverter that I bought on amazon for $70, and I also bought the Tv mount for $15. Most trucks have a cable that runs from the antenna to the inside of your cab for reception. Most places, I pick up at least 5 channels (some in HD). The bigger the city, the more channels you get.
When there is no TV reception, a DVD player or ps3 come in handy..
I bought my 22inch tv @ Walmart for about $125. Bought it in Montana to take advantage of no sales tax.
