I'll nose in when I'm on the end of a row in the truck stop. Too many idiots hauling tail through the lot, if they catch the side of your bumper with their trailer while they're flying around the corner then you'll be going for a ride. Friend of mine saw a guy get seriously injured and taken out by ambulance once when someone did that.
Nose in parking thread brought up question. No response on thread so started new.

2 things I have not seen mentioned;
1st; parking nose in you dont have to put up with apu exhaust from the truck beside you gassing you while you try to sleep.
2nd; Less of a chance of having your fuel siphoned (provided the other trucks on either side of you have backed in).
I have had both happen to me.
Other good answers I can agree with are privacy, getting away from noisy reefers, and not rolling out of bed due to the grade of the parking lot. -
never mind already been covered

The easiest and therefore safest back is the straight line back. If you Nose End first to park you then have a straight line back when you leave. Therefore, Nose End parking is the safest way to do it. If it wasn't then when we drive into our parking space at home we would all back in.
Doing a 90 degree angle dock back in a crowded parking lot is just macho as hell. That is why we do it. -
I'll blind side jack 120 my arse out of a hole. But then again I don't pull a warehouse behind me.

Mayby I'm missing something but if you can straight line back out of a spot then it should be pretty simple to back into that same spot.
