hello, i am 21 years old been driving now for about 5 months.. im not a long hauler atm since i work for GM in ingersoll. (locally) bring in parts
i have lil bit of high way experience.. city to city (60km's trip) both ways
got very lucky that i got this job (few ppl that i know work there, and thats why i got the job)
i always wanted to be a long hauler and own my own truck.. but after working with so many experienced drivers. i might just end up staying where i am for few years
i did work 11am - 11pm 5 x week which i was in my bed every night.. roughly make $3300, most ppl say u wont be making much being on the road 5-6 days

If you decide to go long haul, get your tanker/hazmat endorsements first, then you won't take a pay cut, but will actually get a pay increase. It's good you like what you're doing. Many of us would go crazy with a local job. I personally preferred running 48 states with tanker/hazmat. Best wishes.

whats the cost of tanker endorsement? never thought id need one though ..

Check with the DMV off where you renew your liscense. You may not need one now, but you will be prepared if a good job comes along that you're interested in. Also, get a passport & TWIC. I takes awhile to do all this, and sometimes those job openings need to be filled quickly.
