if not accepting tmc and there games means I'm not trucking like a man because I'm not behind the wheel of one of those shiny and purdy trucks then I will gladly wear that hat. Your right I don't know how to truck like a man. I know how to truck like a family man. Home everyday, having a life, making 30% more a week and paying 80% less for better bennies sounds better to me and my family. Be safe out there driver and God bless!

My w2 for 2012 which we received yesterday after work was for $74613 gross. Not quit $80000. Hopefully this next contract will bring us a pay raise seeing we took a pay cut this contract.

Sir I am a company driver and get paid by the hour and time and half overtime. I work 10 to 12 hours a day except November thru third week of December. Mostly 12 to 14 hour days then with a couple 15 hour days here and there due to bad weather or work schedule. No b/s my friend.

seeing how he is saying "contract" i believe he is union
if he was an o/o he would get a 1099 for being an independant contractor not a W2
and i have seen may day cabers bring in well over 70-80 a year gross it all depends on what u do, where u live.
i have seen planty of heavy haulers who are home every night bring in 100k+
or even gas haulers -
if you say so. just know im right behind you and have been in the truck less than a year.

In fact after I left flat bedding is when I started to make some money. I'm glad I did or I may have not landed my local gig. Going to dry van made me obtain my endorsements on my cdl which in turn opened lots of doors for me locally.
