Strongly thinking about going to MT. for 10 day in a few weeks after CDL school. everything I hear makes me think this is a company for me.
Sooo. Wondering if one of you vets out there can gimme a run down on running the 48,
Where have you been last month or say last 7 day period. Do they keep you in one region or are you all over the good ole USA like a ping pong ball?
Personally, I hate the east coast and everthing to do with it. Guess I'll have to live with that. Thats why my main other idea is to go with another company doing 11 WEST.
I'd like to stay west of the Mississippi if at all poss. Any insights you can give would be appreciated. thanks. All

The guy I went through orientation with has only run western since we were hired 6 months ago, there are several drivers that just run a triangle between California Washington to Montana then back down to Arizona or California. They ask you where your load preference is at the end of each trip. Just keep putting west and odds are pretty good that most of your time will be spent out here. Before I started this dedicated run I just went wherever they sent me and I've seen 41 states so far.

Hey Guys, what kind of equipment does W/S have? APU's, inverters, etc? Those things are important to me. How is their training for a recent CDL gradute? Can I stay in the western region? Is it a good company to start out with? Any info you guys can provide is very much appreciated. Thank you.

#1. Some trucks have APU's, some dont..
#2. I dont know of any trucks that come with an inverter, but if you buy one any of the company shops will install it for you.
#3. Training is a firehose of information in the 10 days. TAKE NOTES!!!! lol. I came right out of school and dove headfirst into this company. Still here 7 months later, and still enjoying it.
#4. I have not been east in over 2 months, but sooner or later you will most likely have to go there. And there is good money to be made with multi stop loads out of conover NC. When you send your empty and available qualcom at the end of a trip, just add "Western US", and they will try and do it for you.
