Do cops ask to search the truck?

They can ask if you have safety restraints (seat Belts) on your bed.


Please show where it has to have "white sheets" in the regulations. Jeez, where do you get this stuff from?

 

As i mentioned i read it somewhere on this forum awhile back. I didn't say it was fact. So if your running solo, why would you need saftey restraints on the bunk?

 

Because regulations require them to be there. Just like in front.

 

I know this does not pertain to trucking in general, it's about never getting caught for drug possession. It has some good advice for how to respond to a LEO when asked certain questions. Cops constantly profile and everything they view they add up to equal "probable cause". Ive only been searched by Canadian Customs and the Border Patrol.

 

Only time I've ever had someone stick their nose in my truck was at red river army depot.

And he changed his mind real quick when he was crawling in my door asking for my id and I handed him a pink retired id card.

I don't think anyone claimed YOU were a shady guy .. But in the same turn, I don't think you would claim there aren't any shady cops.. Would you ?
