Where is everyone?

Petro in El Paso isn't bad, as long as you make sure to not park near a Mexico truck. I woke up with them trying to syphon fuel one night at the Love's across the street.

 

I just go to the J in Anthony any more. But I never really deliver/load in El Pisso, so never a big deal.
I parked at that Petro a few years ago, and saw the working gal get into a truck after some knocking on doors....then @3 minutes after the curtains closed, in rushed the cops and took them both away in bracelets!

Mexicans will consider that a challenge, and have it off in 15 minutes, even if they push it.

 

Well I can raise the air on the trailer when I break the RGN down, so they will only have to "get it rolling" so to speak
Either way, their problem not mine!
Would be funny if they were planning on driving it over the border though huh? Border crossing, in reverse gear in a sewer pump truck......

It's not a great picture, but atleast it shows what I did, I left he carpet underneath the bed still intact (it was brand new with the plastic still on it) and since it is a floating floor i just screwed a peice of wood to that metal piece that holds your carpet down, that way there is no screws down through the flooring.

I can't get far enough away to get much more into view, but it wasnt too hard of a job and alot better than grease stained carpet!

Yup, just snap and lock laminate flooring, all done with a tape measure, square, straight edge, sharpie, 2 saw horses, rubber mallet and a circular saw.

the stuff cuts pretty easy, and when you cut your old carpet out you can use it as a template for cutting your underlayment film, which I doubled up, then I used that old carpet that I cut out (peterbilt carpet is only held in by that black metal bar under the edge of your bed on the floor, the rest just pulls up) as a template and double checked it with the tape measure before I cut to make sure, then its just a matter of cutting it all and then write numbers on the back so you know how it all goes back together inside the truck.

P.S. try to stager your joints, and if your just doing your sleeper area like I did, one pack of the flooring (between 20-30$) will do the trick!

Finally out of Eloy. Finished up at 12:30 Sunday morning. TA shop did a good job, but the radiator shop, they use, sucks. TA had the radiator out Wednesday night and to the radiator shop Thursday morning at 9:00. Radiator shop soldered the three tubes that were rubbed through, but put off replacing the bad mounting bolt until Friday morning. BTW, they didn't even start on the project until 3:00 Thursday afternoon. Friday they cut out the old mounting bolt and welded in a new one. Problem is, they cut into to lower tank and no one knew, until we had it back in Friday night and was trying to fill it. Poor little TA mechanic was hot, to say the least, all that work for nothing. Radiator shop did fix their screw up on Saturday and we got it back in. TA mechanic did fill it with water, just to check, before putting it back in. Total bill $1013 and change. Got a couple free meals, in the resturant and was offered a free night at a motel. Should get San Antonio off today and Florida off on Wednesday, barring any more dang problems.

BTW, that bill was discounted from $2200.00. The radiator shop charged $100 for fixing their screw up and TA ate that. It was $350 for soldering the leaks, $100 for replacing the mounting bolt, 12 gallons of pre-diluted coolant, with SCA already mixed in, one and sometimes two mechanics working on it with 4 of them to lift it in and out, each time. I don't know the total hours they had it it, but it was a bunch, but they knocked a lot of that off. I can't complain! I feel that I was treated fairly and that is all I ask.
