Questions about Superior Trucking, NY (not the tanker company)

Apparently, there is more than one company that is named Superior. There is Superior Carriers and they are all tankers; which is not the company I need to know about.

Superior Trucking is located in Port Gibson, NY.

1 week of training and on the 2nd week you are given your own truck at 28 cents per mile. Home for your 34 hour re-start every weekend.

Health Insurance is 100% paid by the employee for the first 2 years.

$100 re-imbursement for students paid directly to the loan company.

Aside from that, I don't know much else. Even Google is no help since there are many companies using the word 'superior' in their name.

Any information would be appreciated. Being home on weekends would be great, but I'd like to know what I am getting into first.

 

Not really. I have kids, so Family Health Plus(government insurance) would take care of us.

Kinda disappointing that no one knows anything about this company. The CDL school I went to claim that they have safety violations and that I shouldn't go with them.

I will be going to Covenant as no one else wants me. The worst thing is that Covenant only runs team out of my area. I thought 6 months teaming was going to be rough, but forever?

I wish I could find local or regional. I really hate using companies for experience, but I have no choice.

 

My school claims that a driver was behind the wheels of one of their trucks a mere TWO hours before getting in an accident because the truck was insafe. The school no longer recommends them due to bad safety marks on their DOT report. So they say, not sure if it's true.

I tried searching, but all I find is info on the Superior tanker company.
