Are you talking about the academy with swift or being a driver? Drivers always get transported home when they quit Swift. The Academy is sadly, a joke.

 

Well, I called a recruiter for Maverick to get answers to my million questions. At first the guy thought I was a new driver, I suppose. He was giving me the ol' run around they give the newbies. Once I started asking more targeted questions he caught on that I do have experience. Let me just say that I think Maverick is a class act and their equipment and drivers are of high appeal to me. Everything about them is professional and their equipment is top notch. However, I don't think they're a fit for me right now. Say what you want about Swift (I don't doubt several people have had bad experiences with them) but they have treated me great and after talking with a Maverick recruiter I've decided to stick with Swift for now. Maverick really doesn't offer what I want -- and already have with Swift -- to drivers in my area (central KY). If they ever get an account similar to what Swift has I'll probably make the move.

 

No I went to swift academy for 2 days and I knew it was a joke and left so I didnt even ask for a ride I just had my wife get me but I know a fella who washed out and had to get his own way home.

 

If swift is givin you what you want theres no reason to leave you said you get home alot right dont let that go. I live near you noname so If it ever comes up I'll post here lol.

 

It's 500 a week while with the trainer and 550 for orientation witch I think daytona said they give you 50 bucks on the 3rd day when your actualy hired. and then I dont remember when but you get the 500 dollar sign on bonus I think after like 6 months do you remember that?

I just hate driving crappy trailers that wouldn't pass a DOT inspection. That's the only downside to my current job with Swift and the ONLY reason I was looking to move.

 

here lately things have been rather slow but not to bad overall.
