Case in point, Monday I got off work at 2pm, found out I needed to be back at midnight to head to Alabama. I had to wash clothes, get groceries, and fix dinner. Then went to bed at 6pm to wake up at 10pm to get ready for work. Got to work at 1130pm and left the warehouse at midnight. Drove 7 hours to Alabama since my partner couldn't drive since he had a long day Monday and didn't have the hours to drive that morning and I did. I was tired as hell but "legal". Got to sleep on the way home last night though, slept really good. Now I'm off today.

If you sign on with a company and go through their orientation, why would you stay on with them if you know they may want you to fudge your numbers to get the job done?

I am not a proponet for running illegaly. If I know that I am going to be running late, I would try to do everything within the limits of the law, to make up some of the time and give me some room to breathe with the HOS.

Life is going to throw you curve balls all the time. It's how you deal with those curve balls that seperates the good from great.

    Just my 2 cents...

No one springs loads like that on me, I keep them informed with what I can do and when well in advance. Good relations.

ok let me talk slow again. you are somewhat correct. right to work is what you say but. listen listen listen. if you work in a state that is right to work they can terminate you for any reason. here is why. you are a non union employee. you have no rights. especially with a trucking company. they dont even have any labor laws. why do you think drivers are considered unskilled labor. call you local labor division in your own state if you dont believe me. they will tell the same thing. this is why trucking companies have absolutely no respect for there drivers because they know that you dont have any rights. it is that simple

Thanks for talking slow, but nobody was listening since you didn't bother to quote anyone.

Right to work only, i repeat ONLY applies to Union jobs. The term you are looking for would be "at will employment". Too many Floridians confuse this

I wanted to quote something for no reason and then make a statement that has already been made about 5 different times.

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.
