She Was Proud Enough To Post It As Long As It Works For Her. It Doesn't Look Good In Black & White. Must Have Sounded Good When She Took It

    XiZBit,

You are dealing with COMMERCIAL insurance now not 4 wheeler coverage. And $100.00 PER WEEK? Depending on the type is NOT HIGH!

If one has just BT, Collision, DH at a rate of $100.00 Per week. Yes thats WAY high. It should be around $100.00 or $130 per month.

Now talking ( PRIMARY RATES are a Different story ).
This for just ONE single truck should be around $550 to $600+ Per month.

    That's EVERYTHING!

If one is paying $100 per week for just General BT, DH and Collision. HE need's his head looked at 10-4?

    All the best,
    Matt :biggrin_25512:

I'm glad you're not greedy, but couldn't you refuse to work for slave/poverty wages and then just donate the additional funds to charity or something? Look around, I work locally (ia. mn. il.) and am home nightly with more payday than that.

by the way... not going owner/op either... I'd like to... but dang guys... maybe in the spring when the trucks are cheap from all the repo's or something???

something that occurs to me is many of the co.'s that o/o would lease from, seem to require that the tractor be of a certain age or newer.

what is ya'll take on this observation ?

you guys have to remember, when starting out as a truckdriver or even an o/o or lease/op there is a learning curve and sometimes the curve is the sharpest in the financess department.

when i was bran new, i made $200 a week, and sat around alot, after getting sick of that and "threatening to kick some butt" not rreally.... but things got better, i learned how the dispatcha nd the system works, and how to make money.

it sucks at first, but the money is thee ya have to know how ao get it.

I'm sorry, but I cleared with my truck, my trailer, after ALL expenses including taxes in 1980, which was the year that I started $1500.00 per week in my pocket and I didn't know crap. Yes I was working hard, wasn't home a lot because I had no reason to be home. I just knew I wasn't going to be poor white trash and trucking was a way for me to achieve my goals.
In fact, I never wanted to be a trucker, had NO desire to be one ever, but that's another story.

It doesn't take rocket science to do the math. You have to WANT to succeed more than ANYTHING is the first step. Goal setting is an important part of any business, in fact it's an important part of life in MHO.
