Houston to prudhoe per say. 4700 miles. Variables included id say 2 weeks would be good moving problem free. The Dalton would be a b***h!

Be sure to get your truck set up for the trip. Weather starting from SD, ND, MT, WA can be extreme during the Winter. -20 F. and below will be common. Wildlife on the road is a problem, ranging from deer, elk, moose, caribou, Bison, (Woodland Bison, much bigger than the Bison we have in the US.), and bear. Get the best and brightest lights you can afford. If you will do it regularly, consider a moose bumper. Insulate the interior of your truck. Get a VHF radio. Insulate your battery box. I think a Maxwell Engine Start Module would be a good idea. Prevent too much cold air from flowing through your radiator and below your engine and transmission. Install a fuel heater. Spend a little time in the Canadian Forum to see what the recommend for extreme Winters.

The cold and the snow im not worried about. I wouldn't do it without a moose catcher on the front and off course additional lighting.

Were you a Carlisle employee or do you have your own authority? I would like to take a load to Alaska then run in Alake for a while. Looking at loads posted on the boards, I may not be able to do that. Do you have any contact information for loads in Alaska?

Mercer does Alaska on a regular basis. Had one today. Mercer also does Canada on a regular basis as well. Newfoundland ..

Does Mercer pay any extra for going to Canada? I made a killing with ATS going into Canada. They paid extra mileage, while I was on mileage, even on the mile run in the US and higher percentage pay, pay to cross the border. I took as many loads into Canada as possible. It seems I spent more time up there than I did in the US. I owned my truck the last year and I was netting $5K per week. I'm not sure why I quit ATS. Now they have E-logs, so forget that!

Yeah, but for the rates I was offered, I'd just buy a new truck instead of waiting 3 months for parts lol
