Tipp: Some things to remember or think about. Economists are saying 2008 can be bad all the way around because of 2nd mortgage max out and the potential of 2007 Christmas credit card max out. No credit, no purchases. No purchases; business closures. Job lay offs, Employment lines, Welfare Costs up, Food Banks unable to support. I have already seen food banks close because of the gas prices. They could not afford to go get the free goods to hand out to the needy.

Comp USA is closing over 100 stores nationwide (end of December) and all their employees will be in a job line unless some are lucky enough to find a job before hand.

We borrow money from China to fill our stores right now. China holds box car loads of US Dollars that amounts to nothing but debt.

We buy oil from the Middle east and the Middle east, for the most part uses the Dollar as the medium of exchange. They hold warehouses of US Dollars that amounts to US Debt.

We are now around 9 Trillion in debt Internationally, while most US Citizens have lived on Credit and Debt all their lives. According to US Department of Labor and 5 o'clock news, few Citizens have more than a few hundred dollars in the bank when they retire.

Most of our Industries that paid real incomes, benefits, etc., are gone.
Most of the jobs created in the past two decades were low income wage jobs.

Most of your state and educational adds that show college students where the jobs of tomorrow are, show Government or Government paid job markets; Tax Supported medical fields, i.e. Medicare, Medicaid.

Everyone should be looking for a way out of debt if they have any debt at all. The history of financial failure in this country shows just what happens when the Banks failed before the invention of the FED and what happens when the FED calls in notes; of which we were supposed to be protected from because we allowed civilian control of our countries currency.

Thus, I would not be too dependent upon an election year to be able to hold up our financial economic mess. We are due and it is our fault for being so complacent and apathetic to common sense financial matters.

Most people pay 30 years on a Mortgage and today have second mortgages before they are paid off. What about retirement?

Most college students who earn a four year or high degree, pay for their college over a 20 to 30 year period. How many years does that leave to save a retirement nest egg?

Most people pay interest payments all their lives on homes, automobiles, and the worst reason ever; credit cards. Why?

It's not my problem or your problem. It is our problem (collectively-US Citizens)
What can be done about it when most don't believe there is anything wrong and that all is going to be just dandy?

Fact is Home Base business can save a lot of people if they would organize and take a completely different outlook at self supported businesses. Not going to happen. People just will not wake up and it could be too late already.

Even Home Base Business could go under if the Dollar crashes. Why? Because of the debt and no money, they can't survive. Case in Point: Argentine had one of our best companies down there and when their country went bust, the company had to move out.

No money, No Honey!

I really hate to stress so much negativity, but all the years I tried to convince people of what was coming did not good. Many of those I tried to help have already gone under. Foreclosures / Bankruptcies.

So I am just at the "Hope Stage" where I hope enough people will wake up to save themselves before a crash or recall of US Currency. That hope is very small, indeed; even with the potential that is still available.

If you and others can pay off all debt. Get it done now.

 

i beleive you are correct and the fact remains. every country falters at 1 time within its history and collaspes. dynasty's of the past along with common countries (ussr). look at all the revolution within the world and how many countries do you see that have changed since you took world history in jr. high or high school? they are trying to take our right to bare arms away or raise the renewel to what most of us can't afford. there is no more middle class. if you think so, get your head examined. only low and high class. 2 incomes for 1 family. no more 1 working, while the other raises the kids and takes care of the hearth. call me crazy but i would guess there will be an american revolution again within 15 years. the canidates for office are more pro socialism and communism. yes i said it. take a look at there agendas and views. at compare it to russia and canada. canadian health care is a joke.
anyways we got way off subject, but i had to comment on his post. if you don't own a gun or gun card, get it before you can't. be responsible and pay attention to whats going on. biggest joke of all is when commercials show you its better to use a credit card than cash. float away.

Need Proof go to work for them .When you have a manager that does not care for his employee`s you get this,So stop being high and mighty/ It sounds to me you have never worked as a truck driver if you had you would know what a trucker goes through each and every day on the road . Not counting the many Divorces that it has caused . Good Luck

 

You are right on your statements here but there are reasons for countries failing and people losing their rights.

The reasons:
Complacency
Apathy
Accepting Authority as the truth rather than accepting Truth as the Authority.

When people look to government for support rather than look within themselves for the strength to overcome life's hardships, we all lose.

Taxation is the expenditure of wealth. It has nothing to do with creating wealth of make life better in our country or our world.

Social Programs to include Corporate Welfare is with us because people have discovered they do not have to work in order to be cared for.

Spokane was just taxed on our Properties to pay a Contractor to build a new district of this city on 100 acres along the river down town.

That is spending old wealth. It has nothing to do with creation of wealth.

That is Corporate Welfare or socialism at work and is one reason our country is failing today.

Business practices that are sound mean profits and profits mean wealth and wealth means we can afford a certain amount of welfare to help the needy.

Unfortunately, far too many are needy today because they have discovered one of the key factors that is listed as a reason why ancient societies have failed and they have their fingers in the public coffer.

Freedom is born out of Capitalism for those who love their freedom. Freedom is also taken away when people refuse to stand up to be counted.

I know exactly what a truck driver goes through and if you take time to read all my inputs to threads, you may learn something. Don't just take a thread and trash it.

You drive 12 months out of each year and that means,You drive about one month free because of the House Hold Movers Guide use within the Trucking industry. That means if you leave Chicago for Los Angeles, you run out of paid miles around Barstow.

Now, I am not high and mighty. I have been where you are and I can appreciate what you go through. Illegal harassment by DOT, Shippers who will state a weight limit on BOL's and the weight is much more on the bed.

DOT that will cite you for being over gross in an ice storm when you are packing between two and three thousand pounds of ice that will melt in a few miles out of the storm.

Yes, you are getting used and abused and the system will remain that way because drivers will not organize. Every driver should approach their local TEAMSTERS Union when home and ask to be notified if the Teamsters think they can do something if all drivers start joining. AT the same time, they must give the Union a time table to take care of concerns.

Whats up with swift ? I roll into a stop to get fuel and there a swift truck that has And I quote Been there blocking the fuel Island for approx 30 mins after getting fuel. I get on fuel phone and call desk an ask them to call swift driver out to move his truck. Well about 10 or so mins later he moves. Are the swift drivers so Ignorate that they don`t know what to do after they fuel that someone has to remind them to leave. One P O driver here good day

 

yeah most of them do that or go and take a shower. if there were open parking slots, i would go and park than get my receipts and grab some grub and shower. never sit in a fuel aisle. lot of swift drivers do that, cause they are tooo ##### lazy to move or park. i see that also with other drivers to.

 

My opinion on this subject is.......

I think it's about the person more so than the company. I bet that same person at home in his POV pulls up to the front pump by the door goes in shops a little and then leaves. OH YEA!! and does not get any gas at all.
While the hole time there is someone behind him/her waiting to get gas.

Now from reading all the negative stuff on SWIFT they would be my last choice for employment. But SWIFT does not train people on common certcity that is how that person was raised or chooses to be. People in today's society just don't care and have no respect for others. But if the same thing would happened to them they would be the first ones to say something.
