Wow, I usally try to stick to the May subforum because it is realtively free of trolls. Try posting it in the new driver forum, and see how many old crusty super truckers call you a whiny loser. You post your opinion and I post mine. That is the nature of forums.

MTC sucks and everyone knows it. I worked there one year (to the day) just because I refused to quit before a year. MTC doesn't care about their drivers and they are unashamed. I made what I expected to make from them in the year I was there. I signed the idle policy when I hired on. It wasn't until I started driving that I found out 10 percent isn't really ten percent. Anyway, who cares about MTC. I made my 38k and got my idle money back and that is all I care about. I am gone now and am not looking back. I shouldn't even try to be the nice guy because I really am not one by nature. LOL

Interstate Distrb. Co. Allows all company drivers to idle in summer and winter .. Yes, all night long ..They don't believe in charging anyone for comforts. Also, they allow all company drivers to have pets with NO deposit as they encourage you to bring yer pet with you. The Terminals all have pet areas with a fire hydrant and even kennels .. Thats awesome.

May trucking is an entry level company and has changed a lot in the 4 years I was there. They do take advantage of newbies into the business. I am so glad to be away from them ...

Just a quick question for the seasoned dudes and dudettes on here, what do you do about your mail and home stuff when you are out for 3-4 weeks..I rent a room in North Seattle and I dont really know what to do; set up a transfer between me and the landlord? hold my mail at the post office?

    What do you guys/gals do?

PO/UPS mailbox, or just start having stuff sent to family instead of your room/apartment
the post office holding your mail wont work. they are eventually gonna get mad that you're putting a mail hold every month, you cant hold it more than 30 or 60 days i forget which and once you go to pick it up your mail hold stops

Agreed .. Have sent to moms or family if they live in same town or get a PO Box. Try to do as many bills as possible via online payments or auto out of yer checking account. I do my banking online, transfer funds, pay bills and so on.

i dont stay out for more that 3 weeks

you'll be running 48, with may you only have 2 choices, that or the 11 western, and since you're out of FL the 11 western is not really an option ^.^ and you'll have virtually no chance of being in the FL area unless you request hometime, May doesnt have anything down there except for 1 customer I believe, so you'll be out for at least 3 weeks at a time
