Kirkwood in Cedar Rapids Iowa is the BEST!

glad you had such a great experience, hope it leads to a safe and profitable career. and this is always good to see, a good OR bad review for a training school. hopefully someone that is looking for one will see this.

 

So 2 weeks of cdl schooling with 10 hours of driving.. that's good? Sorry but no

 

Did you attend Kirkwood's own CMV program or training thru CRST?

 

Actually the Kirkwood program is 4 weeks long. I start one week from Monday. I'm doing it through Kirkwood and not CRST.

 

I'll be sure to pass it on the people at Kirkwood ! I go there everyday , I probably know ya lmao. Glad that you had such a great experience there and wish you all the best on your new career. Be safe and remember to do that PTI (wink wink).

 

Kirkwood doesn't put you in many situations with traffic. Rumor was they were a CDL factory for the dumb and blind. How credible does it sound with someone comes onto this forum and just says a certain school is awesome. Describe your experience, go into detail of where you would go and what you learned. For all we know, you are a school administrator looking to fill your next class.

 

Really ? Your taking, and I quote " rumor was they were a cdl factory" as truth? Do you honestly think that a program that has been around since the 70's needs to use deception like that on this minor scale? Come on ! Oh, and i'm sure that with 3 years in the industry your a authority on what does and what doesn't make a good truck driving school. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but when you belittle someone because of a rumor, that doesn't say much about your integrity or for that matter intelligence. And no i'm not an administrator so i'll answer that before you type it. Have a great day !

 

Read what I originally typed again. Read it again. I never heard a rumor about Kirkwood but you just reasserted my point. Someone saying a school is awesome does nothing, rumor or hearsay does nothing. Give us more than awesome. People thinking of going to one of these schools deserve and need to know more.
