Question about FFE

Yeah i start the academy tomorrow. I'm at the hotel that FFE uses. There's a couple other guys here with me that going thru the refresher course as well...We'll be training at the academy here in Fort Worth Tx. I hope FFE works out for me as a starter company...eventually i'm gonna go for the Tanker division when i get 6-12 months experience they want.

 

So far its going goood...are you a refresher or a new student? I think the only differnace between new students and refreshers is that refreshers dont have to go thru the DMV stuff again....But today was my first day. They had us do some paper work and do physicals and drug testing after all thats done we went to go practice our straight backing up until about 3:30-4:00pm and went into the classroom again to do some paper log practice type thing going on...For the entire 2 weeks that we're here we have to fill out paper logs like we would in the truck...IF you have previous training/experiance just letting you know they DO NOT care. They will train you the way that THEY want you drive. The instructors so far are seem really good. They are up front about everything. But if you are a new student I do suggest that you pass ALL your DMV tests within the first 3 tries otherwise they will send you packing home. It's a good company but they dont play around. I'm actually glad i chose FFE. I just cant wait to try that obstacle course! I'll keep posting my day to day experiance when im able to...

I'm just planning to do my full year and if it works out for me here i'm gonna go for the tanker division. So far the training seems really good at least it's a hell of a lot better than the trucking school i went to previously.
