Just curious, but does anyone on this thread still work for May or is not about to quit?

would you still say May is a good starter company? or has it changed to much recently
I was first thinking about Schneider, but then leaned toward May because they allow inverters and Idleing on request.
But if May has degraded too much, I might look at Gordon because they have real APUs.

I recommended a guy to Gordon. From my conversations with him, he probably would of been better off to stay at May until he got a little more experience under his belt.

I still believe that as entry level companies go, May is just as good as the next. Every company has it own foibles and if a guy goes into it with his eyes open and realistic expectations, he can do alright until he builds his experience up and moves on as most obviously do.

it served its purpose... out of the 4 people that started about the same time i did that were in training when I was, Im the only one left, 2 were gone within the first 3 months. Its like a year long boot camp... just do what they tell you and suck it up. I'd like to think there are other options to start with, but I have no major complaints, and this is the only company I've worked for so I can't really compare it to anything

In response to Russjac, personally, I would love to see more drivers who still work for May post here. However, most don't even know about this site or if they do, aren't interested in posting here or even reading here.

Where I work, there's only 50 company drivers, so my chances of interacting with any of them on a forum like this is nil to none.
