Bad advice. No reason to have to go with a "starter" company. I really wish people would stop giving this advice. If drivers (new or not) would stop doing this, trucking would get a lot better for everyone.

Well excuse me, this driver is in training. and at that time still have'nt heard back from covenant so yes rather then wait and wait to hear back, move on.. mr smart guy,you tell me what he should do.
-
My point was this: Is it time for him to look for another company? Yes. But why does it need to be a "starter" company? That is where your advice was bad. Skip the "starter" company crap. If you do really have 8 years experience, I would expect you to know better. -
Sounds like the trainer needs to go back and learn how to be a professional .

Arrogance has nothing to do with it. The fact is there are several better alternatives for a new driver other than any mega-carrier, including Werner. I am trying to get people to not take the path of least resistance. If more people did that, conditions would improve for all, including Werner drivers. Instead, it is easier to be a sheep and take the lazy way out............

I don't think he gets it...he's already admitted in another post going from crst to Werner.

I have worked for several small carriers the company that has treated me the best is the mega carrier I work for

Or consider your losses, covenant is not a great company. Go somewhere like Roehl. Not the best in the world, but an awesome training staff and school for those that need it.

Can you get back to Chatt? They are really terrible about following up on things. I know the Covenant Motel is horrible, but if come in and talk to them face to face things will go faster. Call them up and ask your fleet manager can you come in and stay at the motel, then you will be able to go up to the white house daily and resolve your issue...so call and try and get to Chatt on your own. Or ask your fleet manager to send you a grey hound ticket.

No, he should stay with Covenant, he's still getting pay weekly, if he leaves he won't get any money at all.
