Still stinging from the bite. Very long bus ride home, which I had to pay for.

Obviously you dont know all of the dm's in that office because to say they dont know how to treat drivers is bullcrap! There are more then one DM in that office that would go to bat and put their job on the line to fight for some drivers that are not even worht the time and effort they put into them. Just because you had an issue with one person there, dont say that everyone is bad!

As far as a bus ride that you had to pay for...what did youdo wrong, because any driver that I know that has quit the company, has gotten a bus ticket home from them! So dont tell half truths and degrade a company because you couldnt do your job the right way and communicate with people!

In a company that employs slightly over 300 drivers, 50 new units is a fairly sizable upgrade!! Your lack of mileage also gets offset by a very nice cpm difference that keeps us from having to run 3500 miles weekly to make a decent living. I know that I would prefer to run 2500 miles for the same pay as those who run 3500 weekly. Maybe it's just me, but I have always enjoyed doing less and getting more for it.
Hopefully, you are leaving the company also and I'll gladly suck up a few of your miles. Not too many, please see the above comment. My kids appreciate the extra Xmas presents.
I won't defend all of the DM's here because it is obvious to me that hardly any of them, if any, have ever been behind the wheel, but until I am left at the dock awaiting my next dispatch on a consistent basis I have no reason to #####. I deliver my load and 98% of the time I have already been given my next load assignment. I enjoy the drop & hook deliveries that we typically get. I also enjoy the fact that our CSA score is low enough to keep us off the radar screen of the DOT. I guess that others see that as a problem, Metro is Too Safety concious. Trucks are governed. Waaa waaaa waaaa Take your complaints and hit the bricks. My kids once again say thank you!!:biggrin_25518:

Metropolitan from what I have read and talked with their drivers is a good company a lot of northeast and shorter runs but they up to 60 cents a mile for some of those trips . I haven't worked for them and don't plan on leaving were I am at I actually average more a mile than that . Delivering touch freight into the inner city though
