you could get a CDL now and work for a local gravel company. Talk to some farmers too. Hauling concrete would be an option.

Up to age 21, you are restricted to staying within the state.

After 21, you are given free reign.

What does getting in trouble and making a mistake have to do with camaraderie? Im not bragging or boasting but was 18 when I caught a first degree felony , its not on my record now due to getting a plea bargain and going to do what I needed to do for what I did , but it didnt change my work ethic or wanting to do something and be apart of a camarderie. I've been driving since I was 20 with the charge being on my record , and my disposition showing what I plead down to. I personaly dont see it being a problem...now my situation isnt yours matt , I didnt catch a SO case , but its still trouble none the less. Keep your head up bro and keep looking around , you'll find something , even if its small for a while till you get can better opportunities.

Sometimes people need a big shocker to straighten them out. Who are we to judge what type of person he is? Maybe he was a creeper that couldn't keep it in his pants and needed something like that to straighten him out. Maybe he wasn't and he just got shafted by the mom and the system. We will never know, but I do know one thing, everyone deserves a second chance, especially if they show over time that their past is behind them. We will never know everything about his situation, the best we can do is not judge him and give him advice.

    Budha Thanks this.

This, your age will hinder your chances more than the felony.

As others have said, ur age is going to be the biggest problem.. i work for a small company and they have looked past my conviction and we have 4 other drivers with past convictions also. You will probably have to look a lot harder for a job but i am sure there is a good company out there who will hire you.

Hey Buddy any industry with high turnover has to be a little forgivingat the end of the day if you can drive safely and get there on time that is all that matters, plus some small company's know they can pay you alitte less and there is not much likeleyhood you will jump around from job to job as a lot of other drivers do

There are alot of good reply's on this thread, as other's have said try to get your conviction overturned, also time will heal everything, just be patient.

I would say the OP had some very very inadequate representation if what he has told us is in fact true. I'd be looking for a lawyer asap...
