Just outside of Knoxville, All of 40 miles to go for my first drop at 0800 Monday, then on to my second. They have it said up for 1045, 110 miles away. The wisdon of CSR. Was sent a pplan, high value load, live load out of CHOO CHOO, and deliver 117 miles away at 0630 Tuesday. Declined it, for two reason, miles and the rules for parking, not within 200 miles of pick up point, and all of 117 miles for 15 hours after loaded. It was for Costco, but a del appt. So where to park. I know, the terminal, but oor and then deal with rush hour in morning. I have yet to see a Costco DC load that has been a drop.

    I am, totally.

I took Michelle shopping for her birthday to her favorite store.
She got a few outfits, a handbag, boots and a couple items of jewelry for the ~$100 that I had to spend.
It was a second-hand store, but nice stuff.
At first she thought of only going for a pair or two of jeans, and I told her to find more.
She was in heaven, it seemed, because she seldom shops just for herself.
I learned a lot about her in that one little shopping trip.
More, really, than since she was born 35 years ago.

And she is so close with my youngest older daughter, Luana. They are sisters in every sense. Luana was with her at every step.
And I was the odd one out. You know, the guy slowly stepping through the store as they checked out all the cool clothes and spent so, so, so, so, so many minutes in the dressing rooms trying everything on to get just the right look.

But, it was the first time in decades that I could do that for Michelle.
    It was wonderful!!!

We got home, and as I was making dinner she dressed and re-dressed in her new outfits.

Then we all got fully stuffed on salmon, mashed potatoes, broccoli and rolls.
Made with my special flare, of course.

Ashburn, GA enrte to Largo, FL. Was sent a pplan this morning, 117 mt and then 220 ldd, nope, and within 5 mins, another pplan that picked up 6 miles from where I mt'd. Feels like I am pulling a tanker again. Total of 8 tall totes that are not full, about 21K. Finally get the ride to smooth out, and darn, get cut off, hit the brakes and start to slosh all around again. Ohh, HAZ-MAT. Trying MAC 30, and nothing, and most of us know, t/s are far and few between. I have a funny feeling, due to my hours, I am not going to see something until Weds. I will have 5 left on my 70 when deliver, and only pu 7 at midnight.
