Is there a stand alone GPS that runs this program? I have it on my phone and a lil 7 inch tablet and it is really amazing. I think my phone is too small and when someone calls it changes the screen and the tablet is too big and dorky at 7 inches. Does this program run in like the cobra GPS or the World Nav or anything?

all PC-Miler GPS's use Co-Pilot Truck software.
-
You can install it over the base software in some of the Magellan Gps units.

Thanks folks.

The map database in the PC Miler gps unit are no longer being updated and the latest version is dated Jan 2012 I believe. Please be very cautious if you are looking at purchasing one and weigh your needs very carefully.

To check what map version is on a PCM unit, go to "Menu / Settings / About CoPilot." It should say "Data: ALK.NA.2012.02.6.27.7.1"
If not, then you can download the latest by using the CoPilot Central instructions at this link: http://www.noeticinc.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=mapsure&Store_Code=PCM -
Dieselboss; Just for my own edification are you saying that PC*Miler X50 models map databases are still being updated or are you pointing out how to verify you have the last and most up to date map available?
-
I am not privy, however, to what commercial decisions that their management makes in terms of end-of-life timeframes. The x50 model line has been around for over 18 months at this writing, which is about as long as I ever see any GPS company go without a model change. -
Thanks for the clarification, and thanks for all the assistance you provide on the forum. Since you sell these items you're obviously much more knowledgeable then I am so can you tell me what is the frequency of map updates and if I purchase a new gps is 18 months about as long as I can expect it to be supported? Also do you know any thing about the fact that the hardware of the x50 series is owned by one company and the software is owned by another company and the software company was recently acquired by Trimble? I spoke with the tech support at PC Miler and they are not sure if Trimble will allow them to continue to use their software. As a dealer are you privy to any additional information about the future of the X50 series?
