Most companies have a 1 felony, period, policy. And that has to be over 5 years. You have the two biggest no-nos in the industry. If they can't insure you, they can't hire you.
Knowledgeable answers please.

There was a guy that I went to CDL school with last yr. He had similar charges on him. He couldn't get any pre hires. It was mentioned before, to send in apps before you waste time and money. Most of those CDL schools will tell you they can get you a job. The school is only telling you what you want to hear so that they can get your money.
Tonythetruckerdude and mje Thank this. -
It's not the carriers or recruiters. It's the insurance companies.
Cold hard fact. The carriers insurance company basically establishes who they can hire by who they will insure.Tonythetruckerdude and mje Thank this. -
That sounds logical. I guess ill go to Bojangles tomorrow and whip up some biscuits and chicken

I do have a suggestion, although I am NOT a truck driver. Whatever line of work you are in, try to stick it out until you have reached your 10th. year of employment. You may want to extend it to 11 years in order to have 10 years of W-2 forms to prove your employment status. While you are going for the 10 year mark, you this time to become as healthy and physically fit as possible. Also, use this time to get the cleanest MVR possible. While you are it, go ahead and research your credit history. Fully clean it up while simultaneously trying to get all debts fully paid off.
This would also be an excellent time to spend as much quality time with your wife and children as possible.
After all is said and done, then go to school for your CDL. After graduating from truck driving school, acquiring you CDL, then apply to Carolina Cargo in South Carolina and try to stick it out with them for a minimum of 3 years. After the 3 years are up, then start looking to other trucking companies, unless you decide to stay with Carolina Cargo.
God bless you and your family! God bless the U.S.A.!
GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!
