    Here's one you probably don't see every day anymore... took me down memory lane a little, as I used to deliver sod with one..
    GMC Astro. IIRC, the owner said it was a 1984 model powered by a small cam Cummins.

    And one bought recently by my former employer, and registered as a farm truck to make hay runs with...
    1984 Kenworth K100. IIRC, Big Cam Cummins, 13 speeed, 3.55s. His stepson constantly complains about it being in Packers colors, though.

    Volvo FH 8x4.... so much unused space....

    There are same configuration trucks here with fifth wheel for 3.5" kingpin

    Look at room behind the trailer. enought to install one more sleeper

    I think you'll find that this truck (and the other 10-20 currently in service for the same operation) are run in shifts, so the sleeper is probably not really needed.

    also, many similar trucks here have toolboxes/extra fuel tanks behind the cab, like this older fh16 610 below.

    question for australian members

    is there any comparison which truck-trailer composition have lowest lifecircle costs

    i mean about fuel consumption , tire usage , driver salary , truck lifetime( more weight should be less km) , and repair costs for truck

    i did not explain well but i hope you will be able to understand what i ask
