once you get all of the details taken care and do what ya gotta do, all the big companies, all they want is someone to move freight safely, they really do not care what you look like. more than likely if you work with one of the big dirtbags companies you will never even meet your dispatcher.

    good luck.

in your situation, you really do not wanna be locked into a truck with a hillbilly red neck hater, and crst will not give a sh+++ what happens on the truck, all they care about is moving freight.

Hi Fyrstar, I myself graduated this Dec, and am waiting till after the 1st of
the year for a trainer. Going out w/CreteCarrierCorporation. My lord that's
alot of money. Have you checked with SCC, Lincoln, Ne. 10 wks and under$900.00. May be worth checking into. I know it seems like I refer to
this school alot, and no, I'm not a recruiter, or getting paid, I just hate seeing folks getting ripped off and I know 1st hand of the quality of the course and Instructors. About being a unique female, if the Lord
doesn't care, no one else should care. Being "unique" doesn't tell me a thing about "YOU." Keep your chin up and keep us/me informed. Keep
    your eyes on your goal.

When were you turned down by Schneider? Driver Recurtimg has not worked in 3 Days. Did they give you a reson? Is there something else in your Driving record holding you back? How old are you? Maybe you can work for Pam.

End of the year seems to be a slow time. The school I have the option of attending wants you to be pre hired before they let you come to class. Schools recruiter said it will be easy, send some faxes, to the companies they normally use, one or two days and we will get several responses and would get me in. Seems as soon as I put my apps in every one stops hiring, lol just the way my luck is. I started calling the 1-800 #'s of every truck company the forum spoke well to highly of, talked with the reps, had the short apps faxed to the school, filled them and received several pre hire requests. My suggestion would be not to take the first responses that you receive, if you don't like what someone says call and ask to speak with someone else. Two recruiters weren't interested in hiring me , I called back and got pre hired by another recruiter in the same company? Most companies have more than one recruiter and have no problem giving you to someone else if that recruiter is having a bad day or seems like a superior horses posterior. If you use free time to apply for grants at your community college, it can make your school a lot cheaper. Hope it helps.
    Keep your head up
    Happy holidays

Oh, I got a letter from them on Monday saying that "they were grateful that I applied, but they will have to pass on my request."

    Blah, blah, blah=)

    Oh, well.

I work on my CDL training permit for the next week, then I start class on the 7th.

    Wish me luck!

My unemployment runs out in the middle of February, so I hope to have something by then!

Oh, is there a site that I can go to that will allow me to call to see if I have an outstanding ticket somewhere? Thanks.

I would still got for it if I was you. Sounds like you are already a champion of dealing with adversity! A company out there should hire you and if they don't they are probably opening themselves up for a discrimination lawsuit. I'd say the only leg they would have to stand on would be the three points on your record; it's probably the excuse they will try to use even if it's not the real reason.

    good luck to you!
