I have insurance to run any radius from house base, (smaller radius is usually cheaper).
I can haul any freight i want, (no cargo limitations).
I have a local agent who will drop what hes doing to get my cert.
Im sure I am paying more than most.
I am insuring a 120k truck. 20k trailer. and 14k dry van.
monthly 900.00
I think as a lease driver you will only have to pay for your truck value as the company should cover your cargo. Again I have only talk to a couple of lease guys and they were paying Half what I was to cover truck. -
If your leased to someone it's $50 bobtail and $150 liability

deleted. never mind. I completely misunderstood the question.

as a "rule of thumb" until you get an actual quote.
Use 3.4% of value of vehicle for physical damage / liability.
The load insurance would be covered by the carrier. -
thanks for the input..

Progressive quoted me $2,900 for 1 year of non-trucking liability and physical damage based on a truck valued at $25k and with me having my CDL at least 3 years, with a perfectly clean record. They also wanted a down payment of $580, included in the $2,900. Roughly 20% down.
I'm going to shop around and see if I can get a better deal - to the OP - have you called around and got a quote yet? I'd like to know who you called and what they came up with - thanks. -
