Darn it Steve,,,NOT a good reply IMO. Ya really do not know much about what you are commenting on do ya?
No shame in being stupid,,,just don't flaunt it. He's probably more sane and in controal of himself than you are. Hes seen more, done more, and values life probably more than you do. He knows things you may not be able to imagine. Yea!!!!!~I'd trust him in a second! If your a combat vet I'd back you as quick as him. This crap yer shovelin' won't fly with me or anyone else that knows better.

I'm not blowing anything out of proportion first off the OP stated that he had anger issues and depression issues. He also posted that he didnt have any more PTSD issues. So I have focused on his anger issues and his depression issues. I have not told him not to drive a truck I have told him to get it under control before he drives a truck. From the original post he clearly knows he has these issues so why would I take a chance on him until he gets it under control. If it is steming from his PTSD who knows. I do know you can't compare yourself to him each case is different. I had a friend of mine that I was in the military with he has PTSD he got a job driving parts to local customers in a pickup. Well I won't go into everything but he had to be relieved of driving the truck because he went off the deep end. He was medicated and believed he too was ready but he wasn't.

I don't have problems with PTSD like I use to but some people react different than others. It's a healing process that can take time. After darn near 15 years out here I can say that if I do need to talk to someone it's only a phone call away. Vet centers are also everywhere.

First of all I know exactly what I am commenting on since y'all seem to know better than I do. I am a veteran myself was at Hunter Army Airfield I will leave the unit up to you to find out thank you very much I don't have to sit around and flaunt it. I have no reason to been there done that burned the tshirt. I also run a small fleet and know who I will hire and will not hire. You want an experience why. I hired a guy with the same issue. He said the same things PTSD is gone but I do have some anger issues left. He says he is good to go. Well he was good to go depending on what kind of mood he was in. He broke the seat in the truck. Broke the glass of the refrigerator first then broke the fridge door itself, he hit the dash and broke it in one of his rages, he got mad in Texas and slammed the front end of the truck into a dropped trailer, he ripped off cabinet doors in the truck in a fit he had because he didnt like where he was sent. I gave him chance after chance but his anger issues and his depression issues got the best of him. Oh not to mention the last straw of a person calling in on him for throwing crap out the window of the truck at them because they wouldn't let him over. But I don't know anything. Sorry I look at it in a different way than you do I see it from a business standpoint you see it as a buddy standpoint. Well regardless until he can get his anger issues under control he has no business being on the road in a 40 ton vehicle. Before any of you insinuate that someone doesn't know what they are talking about you might want to see who you are talking about first. You might want to look at the OP too where it clearly states he feels he is over his PTSD but he still has anger and depression issues. Those issues are what I am referring to.

Everybody has a different definition of under control. Not to be a d*** but just because you were in the military doesn't mean you saw combat and have PTSD from actual combat.
I have mine under control and would never do anything like what your driver dis. To me it just sounds like he needs to learn how to grow up and have something called respect for his boss' equipment. I bet he would have made a great Marine.... I could just see some wall-to-wall counseling with him...

Sounds like thay guy was just a Punk that needed some good old fashioned wall to wall counseling.
As bad as mine has been I have never ever destroyed someone elses stuff.
Sounds like he just uses PTSD as a excuse.

Yes he did needed to have some good wall to wall training. I will agree to that. Oh and he was a marine just so you know. I know that explains a lot. They still don't understand they were not the first in they were just the first to get caught. I will say no I have never had PTSD so I don't know what it is like. I will say I know people that have it. I will also say I have seen my fair share of combat we lead the way. Some people just cope with it differently I guess. I drank a lot after my first one and went through ADAPCP. I cleaned up and stayed 7 more years until I recieved a medical.
