Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

where are you out of?

they are from the detroit/farmington area.. another one of the many fly-by-night carriers who pays on a 1099.. they own the truck, own the trailers, force dispatch and haul cheap heavy freight, and run you hard!
cstefan Thanks this. -
MUST be able to run 3500 miles a week?
I thought these days were gone myself.
Anyone who needs to run 3500 miles a week to make a living needs a new career IMHO.
No mention of pay, equipment, type of freight, etc etc etc.
Sounds a little off to me.
Just my .02
Martincstefan Thanks this. -
if you cant drive 500mi/day, YOU need a new careerChinatown Thanks this.

There is a big difference that you obviously are missing.
Can I drive over those miles per day? Easily.
Do I need to in order to make a good living? Most assuredly not.
Anyone can drive those miles in a week, not a hard deal, and with an open truck with the right roads it makes for a relatively short work day too. It takes someone with brains to make more, and drive less though. Thus my comment.
I guess we know which category you fall into huh?
Try it the other way bud, it's a lot easier on both you and your equipment (if you own it).

i dont get paid by the mile, but i dont knock those who do, nor do i know their expenses
at 40cpm, you have to drive 3500mi to make a decent check -
I try to average 3k a week, making about .43 a mile... there's been weeks where I ran 4200 and weeks i've ran 2500 so it all averages out for me...
to get back on topic, I assume this is pulling dry van freight?
