I have been working for Davis a short time. Keep in mind that Davis offers its drivers an incentive to recruit others. I'll try and be realistic, it's is not for everyone, turnover rate has been extremely high lately, miles can be low at times, short runs with multipe stops, and figure what miles you actually run subtract ten percent. There a bit disorganized in dispatch, runs can be tight, they run elogs, log pretrip, post, fuel, every stop, where you can easly lose an hour or more a day depending on stops. They run KW's some with 800,000 or more miles for the newbies..
    Lots of night runs.

Their checks don't bounce, and your close to the house what more do you want....

I was used to making over a thousand a week before working for Davis. I took a pay cut. So I'm not sure what you consider good wages...

Davis has gone downhill big time in the last 14-16 months.

I no longer recommend them, but they are still better than alot of outfits down there.

I probably average two thousand, although, some do better. I know a lot depends on how well you manage your clock. Keep in mind you run seven on with two off, so your miles will suffer.. I had one long run last week close to 800, the rest were in the 300 range, publix runs...

You drivers that have been there a few months, by the end of your first year you'll be singing a different tune. To those considering Davis express, if you like being micro managed you might like it there.

You should elaborate, like receiving a call once a week... I noticed you speeding through Atlanta again, and why did you move the truck last Thursday after going off duty for an hour... I notice also you forgot to log your 15 minute post, and what about this 18 minute stop. It goes on and on.
