Vehicles that are purchased can be deducted over a 3 years for the purchase, You can deduct it sooner or spread it out over the 3 years but seriously its my risk and mine alone their are a lot of guys who's credit is shoot but want to own a truck and there is a lot of companies that that will charge people 2 arms and 3 legs so they get nothing. Like my original post i have 3 months to run the truck and if i dont like the way things go i can walk away and during that 3 months US Xpress pays for all repairs to the truck. I didnt think it would upset so many people that wasnt my intent. I make this my last post on this thread so there is no hard feeling, We are all drivers and there is alot of stuff for us to complain about not each other. Happy Trucking and to all you guys GOD bless and Have a wonderful Christmas Season.

Bee-Line Delivery Service out of Houston, TX. Been on my lease purchase for just short of 2 years. 1 year to go and it's mine!!!!!
SheepDog Thanks this. -
No such thing! Save your money and buy a truck on your own. With a lease purchase you are married to that carrier. What if you don't like being with them for some reason? You can't take the truck and sign some where else you are F'ed. Many of them take your money and put it into escro for a maintenance account yet dictate what you can spend and do to the truck to modify it....WTF ?? If you are thinking of going this route i would suggest you get a sattelite radio and start listening to kevin rutherford's show on road dog trucking at midnight EST. List goes on....so many reasons not to go this route. Sit down and calculate what you are going to pay for your truck over the life of the lease.....if that isnt enough to make you puke i don't know what is. You are much better off getting a well maintained pre egr truck that can be had for 10's of thousands of dollars less.

Trucker3573, I've never had an issue with maintenance. As long as I have the money in the fund then I can use it. I even knew a guy here that used money from his maintenance account to add a system to help with fuel mileage. Typically, i would assume you'll use your maintenance fund to pay for tires, PM's, etc. Give Bee-Line a call and ask them these questions. They will be honest with you on what goes on.

Greatwide has a good program. I know guys that have been there for years.

Have they paid their trucks off or just been there for years?

Throughout all of this my question is this. Who the hell considers a 3 year old truck with 300k worn out junk? Lol, hell good maintenance and upkeep and its just getting broke in.
azcardnlz, Hittman 306, Cman301 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Leasing vs. Buying.. If you purchase a truck thru a bank or lending institution you are obligated to them for the term of the purchase, good bad or indifferent. They don't care about the economy, fuel, maintenance or anything else that might cause you to not have that monthly payment. If your truck gets repo'd then you have that mark on your credit. If you lease a truck thru a company and you see the same issues you just walk away providing you give them the truck back with no muss or fuss. No credit hit. You usually do pay more for a lease purchase truck than you do for a bank purchased truck but considering everything the lease purchase company takes all the risk regarding the truck while the bank just repo's it and sells it to the next buyer while sticking a sharp stick in your eye. So, lease purchase and if it don't work out you just walk away, bank purchase and it don't work out then your screwed unless you file bankruptsy or something and then you are still screwed.
