Dude you had an accident driving a bobtail. They should of just fired you. Stay there and get some experience. Lord knows you need it. If you do good they might put you out early. That incident is on your record and is going to be on their for a long time. People know rookies make mistakes so they aren't all that gung ho about signing them on. Especially if they have already had an incident.
-
Haha yeah in a bobtail. I had actually delivered a wal mart load the night before all by myself. Docked between two trucks got unloaded and then went to the drop yard and again backed it up between to trailers. But that ##**in canopee killed me.
So that is on my dac now? #### it!
Thanks for the advice guys. Ill probably end up sticking it out. I just hope prime is worth it.Dinomite Thanks this. -
prime is not worth it, but your driving record is worth it

If you have backed up the trailer by yourself. Well I take my comment back about you needing more training. I can see why you are upset. But just so you don't look like a job hopper. It would be best to stay there. You will probably find out no job is worth it. They all will bend you over in some way. But hey somebody has to do it. Watch those clearances my friend.

I would stick it out. The companies worth working for have higher expectations. Job history, clean driving and criminal.
Remember Prime gave you a chance when others would not. I know the additional time sucks but with the right attitude it will make you a better driver in the long term. Besides time flys by, think where you were a year ago. That is what I always tell myself that everything is temporary and just take the good times with the bad.
As others have said you are lucky they gave you another chance. Good luck with what ever you decide.n9mxq Thanks this. -
It's the aversion of 20k miles I was giving you a hard time about. It's still combined miles so it won't take that long. I know it isn't going to take 20k miles to learn an already learned lesson but youll need alot of patience out here.Dinomite Thanks this.

I think very few companies are going to consider your training as any resl experience, if at all.
You got this accident. Who's gonna wanna take on a driver with zero Solo experience and an accident. Not any reputable company. Maybe a company that'll take you but have you over a barrel.
suck it up, finish training. Get some real experience solo. I'd say 3-6 months, at least. Then test the waters with other companies and see.
You can try now, but I doubt you'll find any.
BTW, I've seen Prime fire trainees for less. So either you FM or Trainer think you are worth keeping, or you got very lucky. As a trainer/instructor I have was asked my opinion on the worthiness of a trainer who screwed up his 3rd week out. I gave him a thumbs up on safety and thumbs down on attitude. Unfortunately, he also caused some problems with my FM and it was decided he wasn't worth keeping after his accident. ( he beat up one of those big yellow cement CAT scale poles with his trailer) -
So... you had an accident, and now you think you've been treated unfairly because as a trainee they gave you some more miles instead of firing you?
I suggest first, you get all bent out of shape, then scream and yell at everyone involved. Then tell them to take the training program and shove it. Now that your bridges are burned, give Melton a call and offer them your superb, unmatched driving skills.
Make sure you learn the phrase, "Do you want fries with that?"
