Quick history lesson, Swift headman Jerry Moyes used to haul steel on flatbed. Swift has always had a flatbed division, and yes, Werner had some serious flatbed history.

There are good flatbed drivers from Swft, but after they let the equipment go, a lot of us left. Now hear tell they're trying to rebuild it. If they haven't reinstated the mechanic pay or found a way other than warranty to get aluminum welding done, those new trailers will be trash in no time. That was the problem to begin with, they were letting the equipment go and no one wanted to have a bad CSA score because of Swift's shoddy maintenance.

Oh and I'm at the Flying J in Ardmore, OK after getting a load of railroad side frames from Houston to Longview, now I'm hauling some HVAC equipment headed for Williston, ND. Pics tomorrow maybe.

I have one in my truck now and I'll tell you what, its the greatest thing ever!

 

I think I have like 12 in here. You may be able to load some side by side depending on the places rules.

 

Where are you picking them up? May be able to just put one on the front coil and one on the back coil.

 

I think AK Steel is the only ones that i have ever hear about having a problem with it. I know if its a precoat metals or magic coils place you will be fine.
