I've got a Koolatron. The p95 model that looks like a cooler, not the fridge looking one. Bought it on clearance for $90ish at the TA in Marianna, FL. Works great so far, but the latch that holds the lid closed broke. Called koolatron and they told me to fax them my receipt and address and they'd send me a new one. Great customer service. I also bought the 2yr extended service plan. Used my points and ended ip coming out of pocket $15.

My Igloo lowers the air temp being pulled into the fan about 35-40 deg. Just so happen that one of my bunk vents are close to the intake. If I blow A/C towards the fan, I get ice-water in Dallas in July.(over night). But remember to adjust your vent in Jan. or you won't "un-melt" butter LOL.

I too have a koolatron cooler. I can get it to freeze stuff in it even during the summer. If you get one of the cooler types what i recommend doing during the summer is put where a vent can blow the ac on the fan area. I put mine on my passenger seat and put both vent blowing right on the fan then i also make sure i freeze all of my food before i put it in. I leave on Sunday and by Friday the food is still partially frozen.

Yeah I used to work in refrigeration and most things work off an ambient temp range of of 70 degress but id like to save some money in the winter time.

How do you find out the start up wattage? Thanks for the reply.

Ok good suggestion ill check on that this weekend.

Sounds like koolatron is the best since they offer 2 year warrenty. Hard to believe it orks in the summer.

I'm going to buy this if I buy a 12 volt cooler. I don't want my batteries to die.

When I bought my truck brand new in '96 I also bought a Koolatron. Both are still running better than a lot of junk out here that ain't even 5 years old.
I would love a real fridge but would hate the battery drain. This 3 amp Koolatron is enough. Summer does suck as some mentioned. Ice buying time and everything gets to swim in the water if you don't drain it out when it melts.
