Question about prime inc

They had that at one time, but it's no longer the case. However, you may be required to take a sleep test to see if you have sleep apnea. A high BMI is just one of the indicators that you may have this disease - which can cause you to be drowsy during the day. Don't sweat it... just deal with these things as they come along, and you should be fine.

 

It's like everything else... you get out of it what you put in it. Some folks like the place a lot, others can't say enough bad things about it. You can get that response about any carrier.

 

If they want you to take a sleep test you should look into doing it on your own, they told me $4000 two years ago when I started driving, and said they would take the cost out $50 a week. Went to my own DR and had it done for $2500, what a waste of time, less than a year later I lost 90lbs and have been fine ever since.

 

Thanks for your input. I'm guessing that if you came in negative for sleep apnea you'd still owe the $2500? At Prime, the test is only done if our doctor decides it's warranted, and if you're negative your cost is $150.

 

Well I did have it I was 350lbs at the time! The recuriter told me I had to have it done because my BMI was so high.

 

They've got really good food at the Springfield terminal... watch out! High BMI is only one of the things that points you toward a sleep test. It's nothing to worry about- most of the major carriers have a program on this. I understand Schneider puts everyone through a sleep test. There are a couple of physical things they want you to do... a duck walk, and lift a weight. Shouldn't be a problem for you.
