Where did he say the trainer is expected to stay up 24/7?

He is right though. Using student drivers as another logbook is giving the industry yet another black eye.

If you review the posts you will see the entry... Here's the truth about my experience with students... The owner of my truck was really only concerned with his bottom line and wanted me to train to to add to his bottom line. Those that lease trucks from CR England on the whole need to train to make their lease payments. One of the reasons CR England lost it's pre-pass rights is because of the number of accidents. I remember viewing the result of a rollover when it was towed back to the Salt Lake City yard... I also heard of a story where an "instructor" fell asleep at the wheel, crossed over the median and crashed into another parked truck killing both him and his student.

My experience was when both the "Driver Manager" and "Safety Manager" ridicules me for taking a legal rest while training a student and makes an idiotic claim that I was not willing to run "team miles" when nothing could have been further from the truth to the point of me quitting because of it and then they changed their tune 180 degrees when I had a conference call with them and the owner there is something really really really wrong. I have the Qualcomm traffic to prove it. Then in an official denial letter from the head office that any of it happened there is something really really really wrong with that.. Then in a conversation with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration telling me that they cannot look into such matters because they do not have the time to do it, there is something really really really wrong with that... It's not just CR England, its a much bigger problem. CR England knows what it can get away with and chooses to get away with it rather than correct it. When I had stuff being taken out of my check by mistake and I contacted payroll they actually got mad at me for bringing it up and it took getting the head driver liason to get involved and it did get corrected. In my humble opinion it's a systemic problem infiltrating the whole organization. That's my experience and I am one of those types to want to believe the best about people and organizations.

Please take me off your list. Your company is a bottom feeder, treats its employees poorly, misleads them....this is evidenced by the numerous complaints out there against your company and the fact that this application was done in such a way as to trick the applicant into believing that they were doing a multi-company app. I would rather die in a gutter than work for such a disreputable bunch of opportunists.

they have a link on here that leads you to believe that you are applying for multiple jobs with multiple companies....this is the only way these guys can get drivers is by tricking them...jeeezh

Thanks for sharing that letter. It would be nice if they would "get it" and change their ways. They have the potential as we all do of being something decent and above-board. All it takes is a decision to be something better......

2 years experience and you still don't understand training? When with a trainee, you still treat the truck as though it has only one driver. Training is not a "team" operation. If CRE properly trained their trainers, they would know that.

If CRE understood and cared things would be alot different. Imagine having a company and accepting a certain amount of fatal accidents and not making sweeping changes to ensure that the most is done to not have any more fatal accidents. I don't know how these people sleep at night. In regards to that last share and the relationship between training and planning as though it was one driver, that doesn't happen at CR England. It was dictated to me by my driver manager and safety manager that the student "should" be solo qualified meaning that even though they sat in the office they knew better than the instructor. I just can't wrap my mind around such pious BS.
