Lol my husband and I were wondering about the chains, books says 4000lbs, but we weren't sure that was right. The only other thing we could think of was that the chains were "cheap" and that didn't make sense.

My hubby and I took a q from another driver and put a 2" strap towards the bottom of the coil. Still didn't look as neat as some, but we have no center tarp, just 3 end tarps and one steel tarp.

Yeah, you got into the line for delivering product, not picking up. Sorry I didn't reply sooner..... I did the same thing but in reverse. I was delivering some chemical totes and went to the blue building first. We all have a learning curve. You'll remember for next time I'm sure ;)

You weren't in Laredo this past Thanksgiving. I spent four days there. It was fun and restful, but not profitable. Still........a great company to drive for.

I know it costs money, but a coil bag is not very expensive at all. And most guys just use a small tarp. Maybe investing in a few things to make life easier on yourselves will help u out in the long run. And if u ever decide to make a switch to being an O/O you will already have a few things for that to take with ya.

Id suggest at least getting the coil bag and maybe four or five 3/8" chains just for safety measures.

For sure well worth the money. 16x16 is perfect for coils its around $150 depending where u get it. gave the same for my coil bag but 16x16 with many d rings is very universal.

Walmart does the same thing with their 30yr drivers. After they have 30yrs with Walmart, they get to choose what truck they want and what color.

Yes, coil bags are cheap, but we rarely haul one coil. Most bags won't fit 2 coils, much less 3+.

Yeah Melton wants 4000lbs for all securement.
