Yes I made it fit all singles up to 48k.. sometime had 2-3 inches from trl deck I used excess tarp from corners to fill in. And yes it will fit 2 coils around 40k.
-
Hmm. Cuz we rarely get singles so it would have to be at least 8-10 feet long to cover 2. I just use my steel tarp... I'm good with cleaning up excess, as you can see in my pic a couple pages ago.

my company is a min of 6 chains on the big single coils.. we have the bigger logging chains thou, 3/8's, maybe thicker, never even thought of seeing what they where. never hauled em with this company, only time the chains come off is when i haul cat gen's out of SC.
-
these out of GA? i've hauled braided cable coils of there before, wrapped up similar and had to be tarped.
-
i always like the ones that dont need tarped coming out of granite city... chain and go is the way to go.
-
Nah, North American stainless, Ghent ky
-
Why on earth would you ever drag out SIX chains?!?!
-
A 45k pound coil would require 6 chains. I'd throw 7 just to be safe tho. 3 pulling forward, 3 pulling rearward and 1 across the centerJumbo Thanks this.

5/16" necklace chains.....Dont know what the WLL is on them, but maybe 5k lbs or so? So a 45k lb piece would need at least 22,500lbs of securement on it to be legal.
MartinSHC Thanks this.
