Joker, it's amazing how these things get reported on the forum as "facts", when in truth it's usually someone (mostly newbies) who misunderstands what is being said about a company policy or procedure and then report it here.

I talked to Kermit Long on Friday and was told again for the third time that 55 mph is the maximum speed limit for ALL STATES. Again Kermit is the fuel analyst and May is more concerned about saving money on their end, not the drivers.
They may allow you drive 60 mph in other states, but as we all know our trucks top at 61 mph. Again Kermit wants you to drive 55 mph all the time in all states for fuel economy, that may not be the maximum allowed by the company which is 60 mph.
Thanks -
Well maybe it's your new guys cause all you guys that say that is less than a year. But I guarantee it's not 55

im a dm in layton and 55mph is right around the corner...

The time to deliver a dispatch that May gives is so lame, they could put a 40 mph limit on the drivers and they'd still make their deliveries on time.
Then again, this is all a moot point because Dave Daniels doesn't give a crap if he loses good drivers who will quit because of this, they've got desperate newbies banging their doors to get in.Joker85 Thanks this. -
I'll slow down in cali. But I'm going the governed speed everywhere else. The min they govern it lower will be the same day I put my two week notice in.
