Does anyone know of any companies that will hire a student driver? So far, most companies are not hiring out of south Florida. Also I was in an accident in 2011(No ticket and not my fault) and I have a speeding ticket in 2012(10 over). So I have a lot of stuff working against me. I Live in Davie, FL 33314. I'm looking for just about anything at this point because I applied to 70+ jobs so far.
I Also have my T and X endorsements, TWIC card, Passport and a Forklift license.

Look on Craigslist.

With that ticket on your MVR going hurt you more likely.Do you know if you got points on your licence because of that ticket?
-
Well if i'm reading it right, I got 3 points. But what seems to really be getting me is the accident even though it was not my fault and no ticket. Everything was going good with Werner up till they reviewed the accident. I tried calling Trans Am back after they called me. But they said they were not hiring any more out of Florida for students.
I tried craigslist, but so far no luck. -
Arnold might take you . They're based out of JAX and say you can have 2 tickets within the year.
If you're willing to team, Covenant might take you with those endorsements and 1 ticket.
You can try Comcar/ccc/ctl/ct,etc,etc . They have a good base in FL and have a job right now in Edgewater doing HAZMAT tanker for newbies. -
Try Cypress Truck Lines.
Household movers are slow right now, but should pick up with spring approaching. Try the moving companies and their agents also. -

Have you tried Davis in Starke? They say speeding 15+mph over so you might be ok. I have never driven for them or know anyone that has so ask questions but one thing I like about their page is they actually list the % of loads in each state. Try and get an answer to "how much do you run in each state" out of 99% of carriers.
"how much do you run in NJ"
"a little"
"whats that mean? 5%? 10% every week?"
""I don't know" is usually the script when the answer based on fuel tax should be easy to get for the recruiter.
You have to start somewhere. -
Davis won't take students,
unless things have changed recently.....snowman01 Thanks this. -
Just an idea to show the driver that there are companies out there that will hire people in his situation if he looks hard enough.
123456 Thanks this. -
I tried to get on with Davis , they said 2 years min experience.
