stranger has advice that I personally would heed if it were me in the same situation. Don't ask, don't tell.

If your not on meds you have nothing to worry about. Medical records are sealed (for now) and they cannot review them. When you take your physical i wouldnt write down that you have any medical history of mental illness, etc, or that you were on ANY medication to treat a mental illness. I used to be on some of that crap...yes theyre crap imho. And wouldnt have been able to drive because one "happy pill" was an anti seizure med (big no no). You should be fine just check no for everything when you take your pysical and youll be ok. Its what i do far as im concerned they #### medical examiner has no fing business knowing my medical history their job is to make sure im physically safe to drive and im healthy enough to drive so my history shouldnt have anything to do eith it (when it comes to mental health anyway). I probably fel this way because my examier feels the need to push my jackwss button right along with my dads its a crock.

There is something called HIPPA that protects your private healthcare information. Short of a court-ordered subpoena, nobody--and I mean *nobody*--can get a hold of your personal medical records.

If you're not currently on the meds, and don't plan on going on them again, I wouldn't disclose anything. Everybody who goes to the doctor for 'depression' gets put on 60 different pills. This one will bring you up, but a little too much, so they have another pill to bring you down a little bit, with another little pill to stabilize the combination of the two pills...

I can't thank you guys enough for letting me know how this process works from the other side. I agree on the meds point it does seem that that just keep writing more and more no matter what. That's a big part of why I stopped. I just felt like it was way to much. When I went there I thought I would vent and find a way to cope with the issues I was having. But instead it turned into this huge thing.

That's the plan lol I'm just a meticulous person and want to know the proper way to go about it. I don't mean to frustrate others I just wanna know how this system works.

Is any dot physical OK or does it need to be done at a certain type of place? I found a place that states they do dot physicals but when I asked the receptionist if it was up to standard for cmv operation she said "I'm not sure it just says dot physical" and that will be $65 the price sounds right from what I have read but I need to be sure it counts for cmv operational standards before I pay and have it done.

DOT physical is OK, tell the doctor it's for a Class A CDL. Once you get your CDL & training, your first company may require you to get another, at their expense, through their doctor.
