I put in a little over a year in driving for this company and am here to answer questions anyone may have about Pride Transport.

Why you decided to leave is #1

Turned out to be more regional than otr and they cater to teams. That's why!

They have changed their business model then, When I was with them they ran the dog piss out of you all over the country.Blanche Thanks this.

Jay really changing things up I think!? They ran me good in the beginning but was told most loads going east of Salt Lake were going to teams and they started giving me a steady diet of SoCal to Salt Lake and I didn't like that much. Lots of new Cascadias and another bunch of Pete 587's with factory fridge and gps in dash just came in the week I left. Trailer Tails being brought in as well. Too bad because they aren't afraid to spend money but don't like the new mega fleet mentality going on around there now.......

Those new Pete's are Cummins which is great if you ask me.

Dianne in recruiting is one of my favorites there! As well as Penny, Alex, Rick P, Wayne, and the two ladies who work wash bay and detailing. Those are two of the nicest hard working women around! Penny is a Jewell no doubt. Thank you few for being class acts! Jo also!

I did my entire (short) career at Pride, and I have to say, I never had any REAL problems there. If you were a team player (took one for the team once in a while), you got all the miles you wanted. Yeah you sat here and there (North East), but that is part of the OTR lifestyle. Pride never did me wrong, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs to learn the ropes. Yes, the pay per mile can be #### for rookies, but in all my time with them, I never got inspected more than a level 1, and anytime I had an issue with my ride, it was fixed as soon as I was at the nearest shop.
BUT, I was NEVER EVER late, and I was always honest when I said I didn't have the hours (they can see them anyways), and I have a perfect driving record.
In some ways I actually miss having a new tractor every year, and the "tourist" lifestyle.thebennyman Thanks this.
