My experience with FFE is like playing with the Keystone cops and the 3 stooges combined. Let me explain. My last load with FFE went like this. I picked up 42,680 pounds of cabbage in the outback of Texas. After waiting for 6 hours, I was loaded, but no matter what I did I could not get all 24 pallets on the trailer to legally scale out. So I had to have the shipper take off 1 pallet. Not a big difference but at least it was closer to being legal. Then I received a message on peoplenet telling me to go to Dallas, pick up another load and head to Cheyenne, WY. My dispatcher wanted to take away my 1300 mile trip and give me a 901 mile trip. The truth of the matter is they wanted to give my current run to either an owner operator or an independent contractor.
I sent a message back telling the dispatcher I was already loaded and as soon as I finish the paperwork I would be on my way to the consignee, and I am not going to move the truck until I get final confirmation on what they wanted me to do.
10 minutes later I received a message telling me there was a mix up with the load planners and the dispatchers about my current load. Yeah-like I believe that.
I drove as far as I could and when I stopped the truck for the next 10 hours in Quartzite, AR, I had only another 237 miles to my delivery.
I started driving at midnight, made it to Buena Vista, CA, at 2:00. I sent a message to my dispatcher and the night supervisor saying I arrived, a full 5 hours early. I checked in at the receiver desk at 0239, and was told I needed a delivery PO #, which I didn’t have. So like everyone else, I went back to the truck, alerted my dispatcher, the night supervisor, and the broker. I could not do anything else so I went to bed.
3 full hours later my phone rang, it was NOT my dispatcher or the night supervisor, and it was the broker. I explained the situation to her and I was told to wait for 15 minutes. 10 minutes later she called back and gave me the necessary info I needed to make the delivery. I sent another message to my dispatcher and the night supervisor that I bumped the dock, and another message saying I was getting unloaded.
After the trailer was unloaded, I sent a message that I was empty, and available for dispatch. Then I called the broker and told her there was no OS&D. Then I called OS&D and told them everything was unloaded and there was no Overages, shortages, or damages.
Still no word from anyone from FFE, Keep in mind it had been almost 12 hours since I heard anything from dispatch. At that point I was thoroughly mad and decided to go to Disneyland which was only 5.2 miles away. I had already sent several messages including an available for dispatch message to dispatch and the night supervisor, and I still heard nothing from them.
I pulled into Disneyland, and parked. I finally received a message asking me if I was in the process of getting unloaded. I replied with a Yes message, and sent it. Then I thought about it and said, “No, they are not getting off with it that easy.”
I left a nasty-gram, I did NOT use any cuss words-or anything that would have hurt me. I basically saying what I explained above and added, what would have happened if I had a medical emergency and needed help right then and there? I would have been dead before they even answered.
I locked up the truck, trailer, went to the security shack, and told them my intentions. The security guards took my name and cell phone number in case they needed me to move the truck. Then I used my annual pass and enjoyed myself at Disneyland and California Adventures.
Around 1600, I went back to the truck to check my messages, and the ONE and ONLY message that was on the peoplenet was the one that read and I quote, “Take your truck and trailer to the Fontana, California, drop yard and clean it out.”
Nothing else was on the message. I could not legally move the truck for at least 10 more hours. So, I called my friend who had to drive 3 hours to come get me. I found a motel, waited for my friend to show up, and stayed the night. The next morning, we ate a free breakfast, then we went to Disneyland, cleaned out the truck, and I drove to the Fontana, California, drop yard. Where I dropped the off at the front desk, and left. I made a special stop at the Ontario, CA, truck stop where I scanned the paperwork for my last 2 loads. This was a 1300 mile trip, and the one before it which was a 1,100 mile trip. I should have gotten around $450-$500 for both trips. On the Thursday after I scanned my paper work into the system, my final paycheck was only $313.00. Between the taxes and the other misc. things coming out of my pay it should have not been over $150. Somehow I am missing some money.
When I tried to call dispatch, and payroll, no one answered the phones. I called several different times that day, but no one answered the phones. To this day I have NOT heard anything from FFE about what happened to my money or why I was let go. I don’t know if I can get unemployment or not.
This is just one of the many experiences that I have had with FFE. I have more and I will post them when I have time.

Lesson her kiddies is dont break policy (can not use company vehicle for personal use) he had just gotten past his probation period like by 5 days was rude and disrespectful to his dm his boss and the broker then with plenty of on duty hrs left made the wise decision to go to disneyland. Now does that sound like what he should have done? No I dont believe so now hes just gripping about being fired go figure.lol

Mattress Monkey, Why are you so worried about my termination from FFE? You do NOT know the true story. Remember Karma is a #####!!! What goes around comes around.

FFE is a joke. i got my CDL and they still wanted me to go through their 'very special ' training program, and oh yeah, the great part is if i stick it out a year they WON'T charge me 3k. talk about indentured servitude. after i talked to that recruiter on the phone--who was very evasive when i asked specific questions, and tried to pull a blatant bait-and-switch with me, and then tried to lure me in with scare tactics -- i thought i was wearing lipstick because they were sure as hell trying to screw me.
