I have some customers that send a mass email out every morning I don't even look at them anymore there so cheap. They call me when there in a bind I'm about $1/mi more than prices there told from anyone else, they even send me a bid sheet with other brokers

    Beaumont,tx to Tulsa,ok 500 miles my price $1,850 other brokers $1,100

    Beaumont,tx to corpus christy,tx 300 miles my price $1,200 there price $850

Beaumont,tx to baton rouge,la 200 miles my price $750 broker price $550 when I broker this run I pay $650 I see others post it at $500 I even called to see if I could pull there chain some first thing I got was "it's paying $2.50/mi" ya and it takes all day and can't reload so you make $500 that day and $200 in fuel brokers are nuts

And what's bad is a good friend of mine "broker" makes $100 off everyload he gets covered he said if he moves 10 loads a day he makes a good living, he is always under biding jobs he charges around $2/mi for flats than takes that $100 off for him and driver gets the rest and his customers love him he saves them tons of money

It looks like you are bidding round trip prices. I am not surprised you are not getting much business at the rates you are quoting.

What or you going to pull out of corpus? These loads are all load and go Tulsa load picks up after 5pm sometimes you wait 3-4 hours to load and must drop by 7am the next morning, They call bitcen that the loads are always late when it's a rush rush they call first to make sure I have a truck.

Baton rouge run by the time I get the run call driver he goes to load it strap down it's noon drops at 4pm and to late for a reload same day I don't think a day rate of $750 is that bad. I never charge them wait time that I think they should pay after two hours
