Have all the fun you can have. I know what works for the least amount of dollars. I am not cheap. The way my rig looks is important to my mind. Hope you have good luck with whatever you want to make a living with.

Apart from the choice of the truck what kind of uniform is preferable to you? My personal favorite is shorts and snickers, mostly because I try to work out when I get a chance and is the most comfortable choice. I am always amazed how anybody can sit in jeans and some steel toed or construction boots for 10hours and not go cuckoo. As far as serious truckers choosing Freightliner you must be kidding. Esp. Century or Columbia are entry- level A to B machines,in my experience of recent past anywaysRoad Killer, DXN1EL and Vernita Thank this.

D13 does not have that many problems with the egr but at around 400K or so u do have a lot of problems with the wires sometimes turbo they have come a long way on this engine but when around 400 to 500k they usually eat up a lot of money. I know a lot of people that have them and are satisfied but a few have traded out and upgraded right before 500k

if you like to see at night, get the FreightShaker...Volvo headlights are the worst on the planet and when you take them to the dealer (who, BTW, are the only ones that know the code for the "lighting computer") they charge you for diagnostic fees then tell you in order to fix the problem you'll need new lights...at $350+.

Saw a picture of a 780 sleeper yesterday and fell in love. That's what a longhaul sleeper should be.

I will I am still looking. I want my truck to work well with what I do and where I go and what I haul. I have been given good advise and did some research on my own. I have narrowed it down and I believe I have made up my mind. All trucks have their good and bad points and like most truckers who have been out here awhile I want one that rides nice lots of storage good fuel milage and looks good. Ty for the luck.
